MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific
- Participate in day to day operations of the clinic, and ensure smooth running of Audiology Service in the clinic
- Conduct audiological assessments
- Provide hearing aid services such as hearing aid evaluation, hearing aid fitting, hearing aid follow-up and hearing aid troubleshooting
- Conduct hearing aid validation and verification
- Facilitate aural (re)habilitation
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders / other professionals regarding case management or clinic related matters
- In addition to core services above, Audiologist is to perform at least one of the specialised services below depending on Audiologist's competency and sub-speciality interest
i. Implant service
ii. Tinnitus management
iii. Vestibular assessment
General
- Perform basic biological equipment checks to determine proper functioning of test equipment
- Maintain equipment to ensure that they are in working order
- Maintain inventory for demo hearing devices and clinic consumables
- Order hearing devices, accessories and consumables
- Manage patient appointment bookings
- Supervise Audiometric Technicians / Senior Audiometric Technicians / Audiologists and provide on-the-job training, as required
- Participate in adhoc hearing screening and outreach events
- Participate in training and education in Audiology related matters
- Perform other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Audiology from overseas universities OR Master's degree in Audiology from either the National University of Singapore or overseas universities
- Minimum of 200 clinical hours as part of curriculum requirements before graduation is required for fresh graduates
- Minimum of 6 months on-the-job training supervised by Principal Audiologist / Senior Audiologist / Audiologist is required
- Maintain a minimum required competency level in annual competency reviews
- Computer literate
- Relevant paediatric Audiology experience is preferred
