Position Overview:
As an AEIS English and Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for preparing students for the AEIS exams, focusing on improving their proficiency in English and Mathematics. You will provide high-quality instruction, design lesson plans, and offer tailored support to meet the diverse needs of international students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and deliver engaging lessons in English and Mathematics to prepare students for the AEIS exams.
- Create and adapt instructional materials that align with the AEIS syllabus and address students' individual learning needs.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students build their language and mathematical skills.
- Foster a supportive and positive learning environment that encourages active participation and growth.
- Track student performance and prepare progress reports for parents and academic supervisors.
- Keep up-to-date with AEIS exam trends and requirements to ensure students are fully prepared.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the AEIS program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching English and/or Mathematics, preferably at the primary or secondary level.
- Familiarity with the AEIS syllabus and Singapore’s education system is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage lesson planning and student assessments effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching international students.
- TESOL/TEFL certification (for English) or relevant teaching qualifications in Mathematics is preferred.
- Duration of contract on 6 months basis
