- Salary range: $2300-$2600 + Completion Bonus + Increment
Summary
Baggage Coordinator (BC) reports to the Assistant Manager Baggage, provide real time support to manage the distribution of Changi Airport’s common-use assets, such as Arrival Belts and the Departure Racetracks. The BC also closely coordinate with the Baggage Officer-In-Charge who provides ground presence in the Baggage Handling Area (BHA)
Responsibilities:
- Implementing the seasonal schedule by ensuring the relevant parties update the operational database with real-time data.
- Building the daily arrival belt and departure racetrack allocation using the RMS, resource management system and ensure that belt capacity is balance and will not cause any congestion.
- Providing real-time information to stakeholders (airlines and business partners) necessary for the efficient and optimal operations of facilities.
- Preparing various reports, such as Sitrep, for internal and external stakeholders
- Manually updating Baggage Information and Flight Information Displays.
- Troubleshooting multiple, often simultaneous, scheduling conflicts as they arise.
- Coordinating with Engineering Baggage Control Room and or Baggage OIC for any real time operational changes and challenges in the BHA.
- Ensuring Arrival Baggage Presentation performance and mishandling rate are met or exceeds KPI.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma with any relevant education.
- Experience in an airline/airport operations environment (preferably 2 years of experience)
- Must have strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to develop and foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Airline/airport scheduling experience an advantage, preferably with gate and baggage scheduling systems
- Extensive computer knowledge and experience, and the ability to become proficient at new software systems.
- Familiarity with aircraft types and an understanding of Apron & Baggage operations would be an advantage.
- Must be able to work shift and weekends (if required)
