Technical Buyer

Small Tool Technologies Pte. Ltd.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Drive all procurement (purchasing and sourcing) activities from demand to delivery.

2. The role involves material purchasing, sourcing, planning and inventory management coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

3. Establish strong connection with internal and external stakeholder to support all company procurement needs.

4. Ensure all purchases meet the company's quality, technical specifications & delivery timeline.

5. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for technical goods and services.

6. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

7. Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.

8. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand technical requirements.

9. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.

10. Develop and implement purchasing tactic to optimize cost and efficiency.

11. Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers and deliveries.

12. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.

13. Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and performance.

14. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

15. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.

16. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.

17. Evaluate and improve purchasing processes and procedures.


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. Proven experience as a Technical Buyer or in a similar role.

3. Strong understanding of technical (drawing & machining process) specifications and requirements.

4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

5. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

6. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Attention to detail and accuracy.

9. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

10. Strong organizational and time management skills.

11. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

12. Proactive and self-motivated.

13. Strong ethical standards and integrity.
