Meat Preparation:
- Skilfully prepare a variety of meat cuts based on customer preferences, including slicing, grinding, and trimming.
- Maintain an appealing display of fresh meat products, ensuring proper rotation and handling.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards during meat handling and preparation.
Product Knowledge:
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of different meat types, cuts, and their unique qualities.
- Provide accurate information and recommendations to customers regarding meat selection and cooking methods.
Food Safety:
- Follow established food safety protocols to ensure the safe handling, storage, and labelling of all meat products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, actively listening to their needs, and offering knowledgeable assistance.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience as a butcher or meat cutter is required. Experience in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knife handling skills and knowledge of meat cutting techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Physical Requirements: Able to stand for extended periods, lift and carry moderately heavy items
