What the role is
The Carbon Mitigation Division (CMD) administers regulations and programs to mitigate greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions from industrial facilities, households and the public sector in order to contribute to Singapore’s international obligations to address climate change.
What you will be working on
You will join a team of officers in CMD to implement programmes to improve energy efficiency in the public sector. Responsibilities include:
- Driving the Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance (GESP) contracting model for Public Sector:
- Advise and support building owners in implementing GESP model for chilled water plant retrofitting projects through reviewing tender proposal, energy consultant's audit report and design proposal, and verifying energy savings during the contract period.
- Supporting agencies in meeting targets under the Public Sector GreenGov.SG initiative
Your work will involve liaising closely with public sector building owners and include both deskbound work and on-site visits.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
- 1-3 years of working experience related to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Certification as a Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM), Energy Efficiency Opportunities Assessor, Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer would be an advantage
- Highly self-motivated, independent and resourceful
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good team player and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Good writing and communication skills
- As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
