NATIONAL SHOOTING TEAM ‐ NATIONAL RIFLE COACH


The Singapore Shooting Association is seeking a Rifle Coach for its National Team. The appointed Coach will be responsible for the following:

  • Raise the standards of the National Team shooters so that they can compete and win in regional and international competitions like the SEA Games, Commonwealth Games and Asian Games.
  • Prepare shooters to qualify to the Olympic Games and win a medal
  • Develop individual training programmes, organize and co‐ordinate the training for each shooter assigned to him, ensuring that all shooters are given the opportunity to maximize their potential.
  • The coach will submit regular progress reports of each shooter to the Head Coach and the High-Performance Department.
  • To conduct coaching lectures as assigned by Singapore Shooting Association.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Must possess technical expertise in 10m Air Rifle and 50m 3-Position Rifle.

· Must possess a shooting coaching qualification of ISSF A License or equivalent.

· Must have experience in coaching of National level shooting team.

· Should have an understanding of the shooters’ pathway, especially in relation to the development of talent, skills and knowledge.

· Able to adapt to living independently in a tropical country.

· Able to adapt coaching techniques and training plans to Singapore’s sporting environment.

· Must possess good organizational and administrative skills.

· Able to communicate in English.
