HR Operations & Payroll Specialist (6-Month| Up to $5600 )

Role Purpose:This role supports HR operations and payroll administration across SEA and Japan during a critical transition period as Bunge switches payroll vendors to Strada Global. You will ensure seamless payroll processing and collaborate closely with vendors to resolve current challenges.


  • Contract Term: 6 months (potential for conversion depends on business needs)
  • Location: Guoco Tower, Singapore HQ


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll processing for SEA and Japan, ensuring accurate and timely results by coordinating with the third-party payroll vendor, including income tax submissions.
  • Assist with the implementation of the global payroll vendor and address current issues with Strada Global.
  • Work with Bunge Business Services (BBS) on benefits and leave enrollment for employees.
  • Support the HR Business Partner with employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Manage external vendors for payroll, benefits, and mobility administration, including insurance renewals, tax reporting, and audits.
  • Coordinate work pass renewals and applications with immigration vendors.
  • Maintain the HRIS system and organize personnel files in OpenText.
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports for internal departments (Finance, IT) and external stakeholders (e.g., MOM).
  • Contribute to other HR projects as needed.

Challenges:

  • Help the current payroll vendor, Strada Global, overcome performance issues, including payroll discrepancies like double payments or calculation errors.
  • Collaborate on transitioning payroll functions smoothly and troubleshoot payroll vendor challenges to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a strong focus on payroll management, particularly across multiple countries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP), and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of regional payroll and employment regulations in SEA.
  • Strong vendor management skills with a meticulous attention to detail, especially in reconciliation.
  • Ability to adapt and effectively manage challenges in a transitional vendor environment.
