About the team
ESG is a global cross-sector and cross-function initiative under Clients & Markets that integrates our knowledge and experience regarding global issues such as environmental, social, governance (ESG) performance and sustainability; economic and social development; climate change and ESG Advisory; and sustainable finance.
The ASPAC ESG team is a sub-set of ASPAC Clients & Markets specifically charged with developing, selling and supporting the delivery of ESG projects and services across the KPMG global network. ASPAC ESG is intended to assist and support KPMG member firms to help meet the unprecedented level of demand for ESG services from priority accounts.
The role
The ASPAC ESG C&M Lead will be responsible for the management and deployment of ASPAC ESG initiatives into prioritized sectors and accounts to support the ASPAC region’s ESG growth ambitions. This includes a strong focus on the regionalization and sectorization of ESG services across ASPAC member firms, providing a systematic process for ESG go to market as it relates to sectors and accounts.
Leading collaboration efforts with ASPAC ESG Solution Leaders, Regional Sector Heads, Account Lead Partners, and other regional teams to facilitate the sales enablement process will be a key activity for the ESG C&M Lead.

Sector Led GTM campaign activation:
- Work in conjunction with ASPAC Clients & Markets team (account lead partners, regional sector heads, sector and account executives and service teams, and global ESG C&M counterparts who cover global sector program, bridge campaigns, etc.) on key account and sector strategies to identify ESG opportunities and then drive incremental growth for ESG services in developing a pursuit process and pipeline for ESG.
- Deploy sector specific ESG solutions for the ASPAC Region and respective member firms, including Climate Change & Decarbonisation; ESG Strategy & Transformation; ESG Reporting; ESG Assurance; Social; Sustainable Supply Chain; Circular Economy; ESG Governance; ESG Tax & Legal; ESG Deals & Value.
Lead the ESG sales enablement and GTM strategy for ASPAC including:
- Leveraging global ESG Sector assets to develop a clear GTM plan that addresses key market positioning themes (i.e., differentiators) for ASPAC ESG.
- Work with ESG solution leaders to generate bespoke assets to support development, such as commercial structures, case studies, messaging and copy for marketing and sales assets. Where applicable, liaise with Function and Sector specialists for input.
- Work with the Functions and Sectors to assist in the development of Sales assets to support the customer journey and sales process including thought leadership, sales guides, fact sheets and brochureware.
- Develop and lead programmatic approach for ASPAC ESG priority sectors and accounts, working alongside client lead partners (CLP) and client service teams (CST) to facilitate sales enablement with a portfolio of target accounts to grow ESG revenues in line with regional growth ambitions.
Stakeholder Management
- Implement a structure by which the ASPAC ESG core team is able to work successfully with regional sector heads and account lead partners through each function and the ASPAC member firms.
- Lead the execution of the ASPAC ESG strategy alongside the ASPAC ESG core team in consultation with Global ESG counterparts. This includes the management and activation of ESG bridge campaigns in the ASPAC region.
- Work with the ESG leadership community to build trust and engagement.
- Cooperate with and build key stakeholder relationships with other Global and Regional Hubs as well as our ESG strategic enablers (e.g. ESG Tech, Data, and Alliances) across ESG to ensure we have integrated and end-to-end Develop a network across ASPAC in conjunction with KPMGI and EMA and Americas regions, specifically as it relates to ESG in C&M, to support the operations of the ASPAC ESG team initiatives. Act as primary conduit into the main teams with whom the ASPAC ESG team needs to routinely interact.
Investments and Budgeting
- Manage ESG specific investment and funding pots for ASPAC under client co-investment and regional dynamic client funding initiatives.
- Participate in annual budgeting and planning activities as it relates to ESG specifically for sectors and accounts. Includes development of forecasts for prioritized sectors and accounts and reporting into Global / KPMGI channels.
ESG Sales Enablement and Upskilling
- Raise awareness and literacy of ESG sector themes and topics aligned with our regional sales enablement approach with all KPMG employees across Asia Pacific through targeted L&D courses and events so that we can embed ESG in everything we do in line with the global strategy ambition.
Skills and experience
- Experience working within a professional services firm, specifically with a minimum of 5 years working in international and regional roles within KPMG.
- Experience working in ESG and sustainability.
- Global mindset with a detailed understanding of KPMG’s international and regional business model and a desire to drive collaboration and consistency across the network.
- Resourceful and connected with a proven ability to build relationships and find information across KPMG globally.
- Proven ability to manage a team that are able to source, manage and complete the successful delivery of complex projects.
- Understanding of ESG Services, including in our key current and proposed propositions.
- Experienced in producing go-to-market materials for ESG services.
- Experienced in identifying prioritized ESG topics and producing ESG-related thought leadership.
- Experienced in managing budgeting and forecasting.
- Global project management expertise, leading / managing multiple projects or programs, through the management of a team of professionals with the contribution of cross-divisional specialists.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, delivering high-quality products, compelling and well thought out solutions to problems of high complexity, and exceptional service that provide value and exceed expectations.
- Can-do attitude, ability to work without supervision focussing on implementation and driving change effectively.
