Fund-Raising Executive
Full–time
Salary range: SGD$3,000 - $4,000
Reporting to Executive Director, this position will be responsible for creating and driving effective fundraising strategies, executing fundraising activities, and building strong philanthropic relationships for the Charity.
The incumbent should plan to meet the yearly fundraising targets to ensure the sustainability of K9Assistance’s programmes. These activities shall be aligned to achieve K9Assistance’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
The candidate should be comfortable around Assistance Dogs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong stewardship to existing stakeholders, corporate partners, donors to build long-term relationships and cultivate them to have better understanding of the needs of Persons with Disabilities and Assistance Dogs
- Manage existing donor database and donor relations
- Responsible for identifying suitable grants for application
- Working with the Management to identify funding needs and direction before developing relevant campaigns.
- Solicit and acquire new philanthropic gifts from both existing, new and prospective donors, including endowments, sponsorships from corporates/foundations/trusts/individuals to support K9Assistance’s programmes and initiatives
- Continually seek out new streams for fundraising – Corporate giving program, recurring donors, individual donors, legacy gifting, etc.
- Draft proposals and presentations to present K9Assistance’s case for corporate and donor support and sponsorship
- Work with finance team to ensure compliance with legislation and policies pertaining to statutory fundraising requirements, Charities and Code of Governance, i.e. application of licenses and appeals where applicable
- Prepare regular reports for internal and external non-financial disclosure reporting
- Report progress of fund-raising activities to management
- Able to analyse past fundraising performance and trends to inform future fundraising approaches and calibrate steps to increase donation revenue
- Organise and oversee the development and smooth execution of internal and external fundraising campaigns and events that are in line with K9Assistance’s vision and mission
- Plan, organise, and coordinate corporate events to promote awareness with our partners

- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/Management
Education, Skills, and Competencies
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/ Marketing/ Communications
- At least 5 years of experience in the social service sector and in a similar capacity (charity fundraising or non-profit fund management experience)
Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Able to multi-task and possess strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
- High standard of numeracy and budgeting skills
- Strategic thinker with strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Knowledge of various fundraising techniques, including online fundraising (digital and social media platforms) with a creative mindset to engage audiences effectively
- Experience in use of Donation Management System
