Job Summary:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project execution, specifically within Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects. The role includes coordinating with project teams, managing timelines, and identifying potential delays or risks to ensure compliance with LTA standards and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent software.
- Monitor project progress, identify delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and representatives to align schedules with project requirements.
- Input work breakdown structure information in means to asses an accurate forecast on time, resources and cash flow for the project
- Verify critical path and interfaces between the design/ engineering/ procurement/ logistic/ execution team
- Produce periodic reports in order to measure project performance at individual discipline, framework and business levels
- Identification of gap between actual project status /fabrication schedule against look ahead and progress achieved
- Monitor procurement activities including materials arrival against master plan
- Monitor project progress against baseline planning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of planning experience
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
