STEM Executive (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)

Job Responsibilities:
1. Support for Junior Outstanding Leaders in Energy for Sustainability (JOULES) Programme:
- Prepare and set up equipment for JOULES lessons (e.g. micro:bit, sensors, solar panels).
- Maintain and manage the daily operations of the JOULES Smart Centre.
- Assist teachers during lessons and attend professional development sessions.
- Conduct workshops/training for students, assist on learning journeys and STEM competitions.
- Perform regular stock checks, maintain inventory, and manage damaged equipment.
- Ensure the centre is clean, organized, and fully equipped after each lesson.
- Help the STEM Programme Committee with procurement planning.
2. Support for Makerspace:
- Supervise students in the proper and safe use of Makerspace equipment.
- Assist in establishing safety policies and managing resources.
- Help with layout, installation, and maintenance of equipment (e.g. 3D printers, VR systems).
- Collaborate with staff to support Makerspace curriculum and programs.
- Keep the Makerspace tidy and operational at all times.
Requirements for Ideal Candidate:
1. An effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
2. A meticulous individual who is able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
3. A polytechnic diploma, preferably in STEM-related disciplines with 3 years of relevant experience; those without a diploma and with relevant experience may also apply.
4. Knowledge of processes, machines, fabricating techniques, and materials within a prototyping or manufacturing environment would be useful.
