Job Responsibilities:-
- Engage in the creation and modification of sheet metal component designs using ZWCAD and Solidworks software
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications
- Choosing appropriate sheet metal materials based on project requirements and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with the sheet metal manufacturing team to ensure that sheet metal components are produced according to design specifications and work instructions
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including inspections and tests, support inspection report during FA/PPAP
- Communicate regularly with team members including sourcing, purchasing, sales and suppliers to ensure project progress
- Maintain accurate records of design changes, project progress, and technical specifications in ERP and Agile
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for internal and external use
- Reverse engineering and product design of rack
- Efficiently manage your time and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:-
- Degree in Mechanical/Precision Engineering or relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Conversant with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards (e.g. ASME Y14.5)
- Practical experience using CAD and SolidWorks software, and SAP may be required
- Knowledge in Sheet Metal manufacturing processes and material knowledge
- Candidate with CNC and Metal Stamping Experience is welcomed
- Computer skills, including SAP, Agile, Office, etc.
- CNC programming, fixture design will be a plus
- Able to work well independently and in team
- Able to commence work immediately/within short notice
- Product design experience (especially Rack) is welcomed
