Salary $3300 - $4000 (depending on experience)


Mon to Fri

8.30am - 5.30pm


General description

The Administrative Assistant works within Chartering & Logistics Department. The Department is

responsible for all logistical elements of supply chain management within our client’s organisation.


Job objectives

The Administrative Assistant is responsible the correct administration of our client’s local warehousing and

logistics processes at logistical service providers and warehousing/yard facilities.


Reporting lines

The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Unit Head Logistics of our client’s company


General responsibilities

• Conduct all activities and tasks in accordance with our client’s corporate objective

• Familiarise with and comply to our client’s company management system;

• Promote and support continuous improvement within the organisation;

• Identify areas of exposure or improvement within the department or its objectives;

• Submit personal timesheets into the time registration system for approval on a weekly basis;

• Ensure all personal documentation is up-to-date and valid, such as passport, seaman's booklet,

medical certificate and offshore survival certificate.


Job specific tasks

• Administrate warehouse/yard inbound and outbound flows;

• Prepare administration for shipments for transport;

• Maintain contact with logistical service providers, as required;

• Perform physical verification of inventory, as required;

• Perform any required task relating to the facility and Logistics Department.


Authorities

• Have access to all information as required for the proper execution of the job;

• The Administrative Assistant is in charge of all departmental administration.


Experience

• Some experience with logistics or administration preferred

• Hands-on mentality.
