We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef with Greek cuisine to join our food manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee food production processes, and ensure high standards of quality and consistency. This role is vital in maintaining operational efficiency and food safety.


Job Responsibilities


1.Production Oversight

  • Assist in managing daily production schedules to ensure timely and efficient preparation and packaging of food products.
  • Monitor food production processes to guarantee consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes and specifications.
  • Supervise production staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and other team members in the kitchen area.

2.Quality Control & Food Safety

  • Ensure all food products meet quality standards and comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to monitor food safety, taste, and appearance.
  • Oversee adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols.

3.Inventory & Supplies Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing team to maintain sufficient stock of ingredients and supplies.
  • Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste through efficient production practices.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of raw materials and finished products.


Qualifications

  • Education: Min O Level, or Diploma in related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a food manufacturing or high-volume production environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a production environment with varying temperatures.
  • Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
  • Experience with Greek cuisine is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software is a requirement.
