Admin Assistant

Administrative assistants should have excellent communication and judgment skills, as they often work with a variety of people and handle sensitive information. They should also be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.


Admininstrative Assistant Job Responsibilities

  • Front desk: Greet visitors, manage phone calls, and handle mail and shipments
  • Calendar management: Schedule meetings, appointments, and travel for individuals and teams
  • Communication: Respond to emails, memos, and other digital queries
  • Document preparation: Draft, edit, and proofread reports, letters, and other documents
  • Database management: Update information in databases and spreadsheets
  • Inventory management: Order supplies, track inventory, and coordinate deliveries
  • Office upkeep: Maintain a clean and organized office environment
  • Research: Conduct industry-specific research


Admininstrative Assistant Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course with emphasis on administration.
  • Proven work experience in admin and achieving end results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent selling skills, people-oriented, and ability to motivate a team.
  • Strong organization skills and multi-tasking skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
