Role Overview:
We are hiring for a Business Development professional to serve as Director of APAC BD, helping grow our current and future business activities. This is a true “Business Development” role in which you will not function solely as a salesperson, but rather a proactive opportunity seeker and problem solver.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who embodies an ownership mentality as we are a flat organization structure with minimal bureaucracy. While this role will have immediate responsibilities, you will have the autonomy to pursue any well-reasoned initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to expanding our market making business through developing relationships with both new up-and-coming as well as established top-tier crypto projects
- Own the end-to-end sales process for new deals in the broader APAC region
- Deepen our existing client relationships through proactively working to continually understand and address the shifting needs of our clients
- Have a great “ear-to-the-ground” within crypto and the broader financial technology landscape to propose new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and/or investment opportunities
- Collaborate with internal technology and trading teams to continually enhance the JST client offering
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Business Development or similar external facing role within financial services and/or technology
- Prior work experience in cryptocurrency, preferably in a BD or Sales role
- Experience closing deals and sourcing partnerships and/or investment opportunities
- Exceptional problem solving ability, both qualitative and quantitatively. You seek to understand not just the ‘how’ but ‘why?’
- Top-notch communication and presentation skills
- Education: degree from a top-tier university
