Project Director

Responsibilities:

· Lead and strategize a sustainable management plan for the Project Management department including and not limited to Managers and Engineers.

· Promotes the project through advocacy, presentations, and participation in country, regional, and international technical requirements. Actively involve in project tendering and assist to pitch for tenders.

· Provides oversight of program implementation including all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to project management and administration, including reporting, budget development and monitoring, financial transactions, execution of project plans, and project performance.

· Oversees the selection and training of qualified staff, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, managing performance to ensure efficient operations, and reviewal of performance appraisal.

· Conducting Regular reviews to ensure all projects activities are accountable, accurate, and meet financial deliveries and obligations. Oversees budget pipeline development and budget monitoring.

· Acts as the primary project contact person and liaison, ensuring the project is represented in national technical, policy, and planning with key stakeholders.

· Coordinates organizational relationship with partners related to monitoring and evaluation, providing support in facilitating technical collaboration and coordination activities with authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with programmatic targets and deliverables.

· Provide presentations and reports to investors (if any), business partners, and company management executives for reviewal, approval and proposals.

· Managing internal and external resources to drive incremental project revenue and profit.

· Review / Track and ensure project plan elements are on schedule, else provide implementation of improvement as required. Draw up corrective measures when the projects are off schedule.

· Ensure projects are carried out with compliance to regulations, safety measures and ensure permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project.

· Assist other departments to ensure the overall management plan are carried out strategically.

· Chair meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, technical experts, etc.


Leadership

· Supports the Project Management team by advising on program management, organizational development, in-service training, capacity building, and collaboration among Government, partners, and stakeholders.

· Oversees development of a monitoring and evaluation plan for the successive phases of the project to capture project performance and results. Creating change to achieve project goals and comfort with change

· Be an excellent team player /mentor to collaborate with the internal and external teams / business partners / stakeholders.


Requirements:

· At least 5 Year(s) of working experience as Project Director or relevant roles

· Well verse in MEPL system knowledge.

· Candidate must possess at least bachelor’s degree/ Post Degree in Engineering.

· Proficient in MS Excels/words/PowerPoint/Project

· Preferred skill sets: good leadership skill, self-Driven, resourceful, problem-solving nature, strong business acumen, project management and good conversational/writing skills in English
