Job Description:
We are looking for 16 friendly, outgoing, and reliable part-time Event Assistants to support the operations of the Italian Village from 22-30 October. As an Event Assistant, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Vespucci souvenirs and peripherals, providing event information (if necessary), supporting logistics, and ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell Vespucci souvenirs, merchandise, and event peripherals
- Engage with guests to explain the history and significance of Vespucci items
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist with event inventory setup and stocktake of the Vespucci merchandise
- Assist the event management team with any ad-hoc tasks
Qualifications and Skills:
- Pleasant disposition and friendly, approachable personality
- Eager to meet and engage with people
- Sales experience or a passion for promoting products is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (other languages, including Italian, are a plus)
- Previous event, hospitality, or sales experience is a plus but not required
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
Working Hours and Shifts:
- Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- 2 shifts available (exact shift details to be discussed during the interview process)
- Candidates must be available to work between 22-30 October, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation:
- $12/hour on weekdays
- $15/hour on weekends
- Competitive hourly wage with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in events and sales
