Our Ackcio Beam suite of products runs off our core technology, a long-range, low-power radio wireless mesh communication to reliably transmit industrial sensor data in real-time both underground and above ground.


Currently our technology is widely used in construction, mining, infrastructure, and rail industries to automate the monitoring process, improve productivity, and make the activity safe. We now help major clients in over 40 countries monitor their projects with our technology.


Ackcio was incorporated in Singapore in 2016, and has drawn investments from prominent investors including Wavemaker Partners, Enterprise Singapore, Accelerasia, Aletra Capital Partners, Foundamental, and EF.


Who we are looking for

As our Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be an integral part of our executive team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our company and driving our growth and success.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our company operations are running efficiently and effectively, while also providing strategic leadership to guide our company's future. You will be responsible for developing and implementing operational plans that align with our overall business strategy, managing our resources effectively, and driving continuous improvement to enhance our profitability and growth. Additionally, you will work closely with our CEO and the Board members to develop and execute our long-term strategic plans, identify new business opportunities, and drive innovation across all operations.

You will oversee the finance, strategy, manufacturing, supply chain, technical support and HR functions of the company.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the company's day-to-day operations, including oversight of all departments and functions, and ensure that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently to meet our business objectives.
  • Partner with the CEO to develop and execute the company's overall strategy and vision, ensuring that our strategy is aligned with our business goals and objectives.
  • Drive business growth through operational excellence and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our performance.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of managers and employees, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals and develop their skills. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance, and ensure our team is motivated and engaged.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including our customers, partners, and investors, and serve as a senior company representative in external settings.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations, and lead efforts to mitigate operational risks and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, make data-driven decisions, and drive continuous learning and improvement within the organisation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field, with a strong understanding of technology and its application preferably in the geotechnical or related industry
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in a technology startup or related industry, with a proven track record of successfully leading and growing a business.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and make sound decisions to drive business growth and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including customers, partners, investors, and employees.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve its goals, and a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible business practices.
  • Experience in driving innovation and implementing new technologies to create a competitive advantage in the industry.

Overall, the COO should have a deep understanding of the geotechnical industry and the ability to apply innovative technologies and solutions to drive business growth and operational excellence. Additionally, they should possess strong leadership, management, and communication skills to build and lead a high-performing team, as well as a commitment to ethical and sustainable business practices
