CARE Singapore offers year-long comprehensive, preventive, holistic, supportive, and motivational life skills programmes designed for Primary and Secondary School students. Research-based, field-tested, proven, and cost-effective, these programmes have impacted over 30,000 lives since 1997.
All our programmes are specially designed for positive youth development. On a weekly basis, a dynamic team of professional Youth Workers and Counsellors meet and work with students.
Key Responsibilities:
The Youth Work Associate is an assistant role in the field of Youth Work. You will assist the Youth Worker:
· in certain parts of casework and group work
· conduct life skills lessons for secondary and primary school students in a school setting, up to 40 students
· facilitate programmes and participate in youth outreach efforts
· support the assessment of the needs of youths through the collection of information and feedback from multiple stakeholders
· support the implementation of appropriate mentoring and counselling approaches and advice to help youths plan for their future and
· any other duties that may reasonably be required by the Supervisor
Technical Competencies:
· Degree or Diploma in Social Services with at least 1 year of relevant experience, especially in a secondary school setting.
· Conversant in English
· An additional command of Chinese, Malay or Tamil would be advantageous
· Occasional out-of-hours work may be required.
