Your responsibilities
- Reporting to the Integration Manager and Lead Engineer
- Directly involves in the Technical meeting with customer, analyze customer inputs and understand the requirements, such as Technical Specification, IO list, etc.
- Raise Technical Queries and clarification to customer.
- Develop drawing/documentation as required for the project; and work together with lead engineer for document submission.
- Creates work plans and cost estimates in the area of responsibility
- Together with Lead Engineer to design and develop ABB 800xA Object Library.
- Develop Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Test procedures for the various packages supplied in this contract.
- Conduct the Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Test of the supplied equipment as required. This may require development of a test kit to support the FAT or SAT.
- Take the lead in the Installation of the supplied system and commissioning of the installed system
- Resolve any outstanding punchlists identified during the FAT or SAT.
- Interacts with customers, officials, contractors and others; Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments.
- Developing, selecting and applying standard techniques, procedures and tools, reporting inefficiencies and identifying improvement opportunities.
With background:
- Degree holder in Electronic Engineering
- Excellent written and verbal skill in English
- At least 3 years of experience in PLC/SCADA System design, engineering, installation and commissioning.
- Experience in ABB 800xA project engineering and commissioning will have an added advantage.
- Good knowledge PLC Control system hardware, power distribution, network connection, IO connection, etc, including cabinet and marshalling design.
- Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, process and tools; experience in Adaptive methodology (templates and tools) is preferred.
- Knowledge of fieldbus connection such as Modbus, Profinet, OPC, etc.
- Knowledge in PLC system, configuration, administration, engineering, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Knowledge in IT networking, such as IP addressing, router configuration, VLAN setup, firewall settings, etc.
- Ability to recognize and respond to dynamic demands
- Ability to relate with different groups of people at various levels of the organization
