Database Technical Expert (Application Performance Tuning – Oracle & Java) in Supply Chain Financing IT Team
Position Purpose
• To perform deep technical audit of large-scale eBanking application to identify performance bottleneck areas and propose/implement solutions for top performance of application.
• Technical expert specialized in Database model design and architecture as well as runtime Database queries and procedures execution focused on the Oracle database & Java based web application.
Responsibilities - Direct Responsibilities
• Take a lead role in analyzing the current application design and Database model for performance point of view.
• Be the main contributor in auditing the Database queries and procedure/packages that are (potential) source of performance issues of application.
• Propose/suggest improvements techniques/schemas of the Database model and queries.
• Work in a tight collaborative environment with an Offshore vendor (locate in India) to improve Database assets and resources.
• Identify the 20% of the queries that cause 80% of the slowness issues.
• Analyze the possibility of cartesian product in the SQL queries used. • Pinpoint the queries which involve full table scan.
• High ability to read and analyze AWR reports.
• Interact with teams and communicate findings and areas of improvements.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
• Expertise in Oracle 19C, 21 Database Product
• Expertise in SQL Language for performance tuning
• Expertise in writing efficient SQL queries considering Server and Network resources.
• Expertise in the Oracle database runtime configuration and optimization parameters.
• Exposure to Relational database Object Mapping frameworks such as iBatis and Hibernate.
• Hands-On Java experience would be a plus.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skill with Accuracy
