Job Purpose:
This Senior System Engineer role is a project focused role for a Synectics Customer based in Singapore. A successful candidate will work alongside a project coordinator as part of a team to deliver a high scale complex project.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide quality and professional deployment and support services, primarily in person at the customer site. The Systems Engineer is based in the Field and will report to the regional Head of Systems Engineering & Project Coordinator. The successful candidate will understand technology at an advanced level, be customer focused and detail oriented. They will offer value to our partners in providing outstanding support and an industry leading professional service.
The Systems Engineer is technically minded, can identify complex technical problems and introduce solutions to solve them. In short, the System Engineer is a trusted advisor to the organisations they deal with, satisfying customers' needs with innovative solutions and creating value for all involved.
Principal Accountabilities:
· Perform onsite software support, system deployment, audits, maintenance, and technical support to Synectics software solutions on customer premises
· Configuring Synergy systems to meet customers defined specification
· Configuring, and Installing system Synergy system PC’s, Servers, IP Cameras and other related hardware based technologies
· Managing the deployment of a large-scale project
· Understand our customers business, technical and operational requirements and be able to match them to Synectic’s value proposition
· Develop and maintain an extensive working knowledge of Synectics solutions
· Provide onsite and offsite professional services
· Ensure timely escalation and resolution of customer issues through proper channels
· Collaborate with other technical experts and engineering teams
· Provide an open forum for questions regarding strategic plans, best practices, and ad-hoc consulting for software implementation, integration, training, and change requests
· Deliver accurate, high quality system handover documentation to project stakeholders

Qualifications and experience:
· 5+ Years Experience with Synectics Systems Products & Platforms
· Relevant technical surveillance experience
· Experience of providing technical solutions for enterprise customers
· Excellent administration and troubleshooting knowledge of the various Windows operating system components (Active Directory, file sharing, clustering, GPO, performance monitoring, etc.)
· Excellent knowledge of networking principles and IP protocols
· Experience with networking equipment configuration and troubleshooting (switches, routers, etc.)
· Experience working with IP video systems
· Understanding of server virtualization concepts
· Understanding of video streaming methodologies
· Experience working with SQL databases
· Clear understanding of TCP, IP and UDP protocol stack
· Understanding of network storage (SAN, NAS, iSCSI) principles and best practices
· Proven technical training in software and/or IT verticals in fast-paced environments
· Must have good personal credit score & clean criminal record
