The key responsibilities of the role holder are to provide Risk and Control SME inputs for change delivery for transformation across Risk & CFCC transformation initiatives. The role will be part of a lean team, delivering risk strategy and transformation work. Working with collaborative teams in an agile environment the role holder will be expected to adopt a flexible approach across multiple initiatives.

The role holder will be responsible for providing consultative SME inputs for change delivery across risk and control simplification initiatives, including maintaining consistency in communications, planning and governance across multiple projects, and addressing complex challenges, activities and deliverables across Risk & CFCC’s accountabilities.

  • SME input and consultation on risk and control simplification
  • Support oversight change delivery
  • Support ongoing assessment and review of organizational readiness for change and areas of potential risk
  • Undertake regular engagement with initiative stakeholders to support delivery and identify change requirements
  • Continually assess change impact through frequent engagement with various stakeholders
  • Support communications and training around risk and control simplification
  • Have a sound and in-depth understanding of Risk and control assessment
  • Be able to engage with stakeholders at various levels across the Bank addressing complexity with continual focus on outcomes
  • Realise synergies and efficiencies and ensure consistency in delivery of outcomes wherever possible
  • Work to embed agile principles and ways of working that enable rapid assessment and delivery of impactful initiatives that align with Strategy and Transformation objectives
  • Have relevant experience in a change delivery and operational risk
  • Experience in presenting and developing materials for Senior stakeholder review is also desired

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Min. 10 years’ experience in similar domain of risk, risk control or change management
  • Experience of delivering change programmes focused on risk improvement / transformation within the Banking industry, ideally gained in a variety of roles and organisational contexts.
  • An analytical approach to project work, coherently balancing macro and micro perspectives with agility
  • Domain knowledge across the Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime
  • Experience in the development and delivery of change initiatives
  • Specific experience of documenting processes and requirements, including the ability to synthesise and articulate them clearly to diverse audiences
  • Stakeholder management experience - facilitating working groups and partnering stakeholders to get buy in and deliver change (especially with respect to engagement of Senior Stakeholders)
  • Strong oral, written communication and presentation skills
  • Has experience on taxonomy implementation
  • Ability to manage a diverse and challenging stakeholder community
