1. Childcare and Supervision

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants.
  • Supervise daily activities, including feeding, diaper changing, and nap times.
  • Ensure proper hygiene and care routines are followed consistently.

2. Language Development

  • Engage infants in activities that promote early Mandarin language development, such as singing songs, storytelling, and talking in Chinese to help them become familiar with the language.
  • Encourage early communication through gestures, sounds, and simple Mandarin words.

3. Sensory and Motor Skills Development

  • Organize activities that promote fine and gross motor skills, such as crawling, grasping, and exploring objects.
  • Use sensory toys and materials to stimulate infants’ curiosity and senses.

4. Curriculum Planning and Implementation

  • Implement age-appropriate learning activities and lessons that support early development milestones.
  • Create a balanced curriculum that fosters physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

5. Parental Communication

  • Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s daily routine, progress, and milestones.
  • Discuss concerns or development issues with parents as needed and offer suggestions for at-home reinforcement.

6. Cultural Exposure

  • Introduce infants to basic Chinese culture and traditions through stories, songs, and simple cultural activities, promoting cultural awareness from a young age.

7. Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with other teachers and staff members to ensure smooth classroom operations.
  • Participate in team meetings, share best practices, and contribute to the improvement of the learning environment.

8. Classroom Management

  • Keep the infant care area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed, including checking toys and materials for hazards and maintaining a child-proof environment.

9. Assessment and Documentation

  • Observe and document each child’s progress and development, ensuring that each infant is reaching appropriate developmental milestones.
  • Record daily activities and routines to keep parents informed.

10. Emotional and Social Support

  • Provide comfort, emotional support, and encouragement to infants during transitions or when distressed.
  • Foster early socialization through interactive play with peers and staff.
