Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship Management:
• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, developing and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their banking needs and providing expert financial advice on products and services.
• Build and deepen client relationships by understanding their business models, financial objectives, and goals to offer appropriate banking solutions.
2. Business Development:
• Proactively identify opportunities to grow the portfolio through client acquisition, cross-selling of products, and deepening existing relationships.
• Develop and execute strategies to attract new corporate clients and expand the bank’s market share in corporate banking.
• Prepare client presentations, proposals, and financial solutions that address the specific needs of corporate customers.
3. Financial Solutions Delivery:
• Offer a wide range of corporate banking products, including working capital finance, term loans, trade finance, cash management, treasury solutions, and FX services.
• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments, evaluate financial statements, and recommend appropriate financial structures based on the client’s creditworthiness.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of all client transactions and services, working closely with internal teams such as operations, treasury, and credit.
4. Credit and Risk Management:
• Prepare credit proposals for new and existing clients, assessing the risks and ensuring compliance with the bank’s credit policies.
• Monitor and manage credit risk within the client portfolio, ensuring early identification of problem loans and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews to track performance, anticipate client needs, and mitigate risks.
5. Client Portfolio Management:
• Ensure all corporate client accounts are well-managed, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and loyalty.
• Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, meetings, and financial transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
• Provide regular reports on the performance of the client portfolio to senior management, including insights on market trends, risks, and opportunities.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with product specialists and other departments within the bank to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
• Liaise with credit, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of deals and resolve any client issues efficiently.
• Provide feedback to product teams to enhance existing offerings and develop new products tailored to corporate clients’ needs.
7. Market Analysis and Insights:
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting corporate clients.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and risks, and provide insights to clients to help them navigate the financial landscape.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of clients’ industries and business environments to position the bank as a trusted financial advisor.
8. Compliance and Governance:
• Ensure all banking activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices.
• Maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality while handling client information and transactions.
• Ensure timely completion of all compliance, risk, and due diligence requirements for each client.
