Assignment Overview
We face two significant challenges:
- Reduce cloud costs on our current setup.
- Migrate applications from on-premise to the cloud by November 2024.
We are currently assessing our approach, which is subject to client concurrence, but the likelihood of moving forward with this strategy is high.
Role Responsibilities
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will:
- Lead the strategy and design for transitioning to cloud-based services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop cloud architecture.
- Design and implement a comprehensive migration plan, ensuring alignment with security and compliance standards.
- Provide guidance to the team to achieve seamless integration of cloud technologies, optimizing performance and cost efficiency.
- Participate in training sessions to understand the current end-to-end architecture, infrastructure, and data schema.
- Work closely with product and development teams to deepen your understanding of Singapore's business, products, and services.
Key Requirements
- Cloud Experience: Proven experience in cloud technologies, especially with AWS.
- Infrastructure as Code (IAC): Strong expertise in IAC practices.
- CI/CD Practices: Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
- Migration Experience: Prior experience in migrating applications from on-premise to cloud environments is highly desirable.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize cloud usage.
