Job Specification

The Research Officer will work directly with a team of scientists to test and develop new assays. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring experiments are completed in a timely manner.

· Perform a variety of molecular, cellular and immunology related assays such as qPCR and ELISA.

· Compile and analyse experimental data and adjust experimental designs as necessary.

· Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and data.

· Maintain laboratory equipment performance and supplies inventory.

· Prepare materials for submission to external partners.

· Prepare progress reports and present to research team.

· Responsible for housekeeping of laboratory.

· Any other duties as assigned from time to time.


Requirements (Qualification, Years of Experience, Knowledge & Skills required)

· B.Sc or M.Sc. in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or related discipline.

· Experience with molecular biology assays (e.g. qPCR, ELISA).

· Experience with cell biology techniques including cell culture and clinical sample processing.

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

· Prior industry experience is an advantage.

· Strong desire to learn continuously.

· Able to work independently and in a collaborative manner with an interdisciplinary team.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
