Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Student Guardian/Private Tutor to support an international student (Secondary education) in the family of one of our organization’s members in Singapore. The role involves overseeing the student’s academic progress, providing guidance, and offering emotional support while ensuring their well-being during their studies.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assist the student with homework, exam preparation, and study plans.
- Provide mentoring and guidance for personal and learning growth.
- Create a conducive learning environment to help the student achieve academic excellence.
- Accompany the student to school and extracurricular activities as needed.
- Act as the point of contact between the student and their parents, regularly communicating to provide updates on the student’s learning progress.
Requirements:
- Applicants must possess at least degree in any field. If the applicant is from a university ranked in the top 100 of QS/US rankings, they will have an advantage.
- Previous experience in tutoring or mentorship is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, responsible, and able to work with teenager, with empathy and a passion for helping students succeed.
- Availability for flexible tutoring sessions, including evenings and weekends.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with exceptional proficiency in both written and spoken forms.
