- Active involvement in Business Development for the procurement of customized specialized parts/ components for collectible series
Job Description
- A growing company specialized in collectible series is looking for Procurement Engineer to join the team dealing with purchasing of OEM products
- Understand clients’ requirement – study blue print, obtain models and photos
- Collect videos of the dynamic features
- Work with 2D & 3D creative freelance and sound engineers
- Supply all necessary materials to the vendor/factory to proceed with 3D creation and reverse-engineering
- Integrate regulation and safety constraints in the product design
- Evaluate the mechanics, the electronics and software solutions selected by the factory
- Verify the BOM list
- Check the 3D files (STEP, STL, OBJ, …), prototypes, mold layout and coordinate changes
- Check the samples (preproduction, and production), and suggest improvements when needed
- Assist in the verification of the QC inspection reports
- Build good rapport with clients
- Need to travel overseas to visit factories in China when necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics)
- Relevant experience as an Engineer in the development of consumer products
- Proficient in Excel spreadsheets as well as 3D files (STL, OBJ, STEP)
- Some experience handling the China market/ Chinese suppliers is advantageous.
- Able to liaise between clients and vendors
- Able to work independently and multitask
- Well organized and able to manage project timeline, deliveries
