Job Description
Augmented Human Lab, at the Smart Systems Institute, National University of Singapore is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher with expertise in signal processing and hardware prototyping, with specific focus in developing audio-based systems.
The Research Fellow will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator (A/Prof Suranga Nanayakkara). He/She will work on developing an audio data collection testbed as well as a signal processing framework for enabling sound event recognition through drones equipped with microphones.
Major responsibilities include:
- Conduct original, impactful research.
- Provide guidance to PhD students, Research Engineers in the group.
- Dissemination of the research outcomes via journal/conference papers and contribute to research grant proposals
- Participation in industry project meetings as well as industrial/academic events.
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Experience and interest in audio hardware prototyping and signal processing techniques
- Good track record of research with a good publication record
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
