Job Description:
1. Perform a technical evaluation of various RFQs and advise service coordination teams accordingly.
2. Responsible for increasing Electromek’s market share in the maritime industry in Southeast Asia.
3. Relationship Management with existing customers and acquiring new customers.
4. Conduct or attend various Technical Seminars / Networking Events on behalf of ElectroMek Marine and educate the audience on the Products and Services offered by the company.
5. Frequent Visits to existing and new Client offices for meeting Vessel Managers and Purchase dept in and around Southeast Asia.
6. Coordination for RFQs received from clients for Quotation, arrangements, and
delivery for Supply and Services.
7. Relationship Management with existing Service Partners and building new partners
around the world.
8. Coordination for Jobs being carried out overseas and providing timely updates to the vessel managers.
9. Regular updates from onboard engineers to keep the office internally advised.
10.Follow up on the complete Quote to Cash cycle.
Essential Requirements:
1. 7-10 years experience in technical sales in Shipping.
2. An existing network of contacts among various ship managers/owners in and around South East Asia.
3. The Candidate must have a proven track record in Business Development.
4. Must have a degree in Marine / Mechanical engineering from a reputable institute.
5. Must have worked onboard vessels in the capacity of watch keeping Engineer for 3-5 contracts.
6. Fluent in English (written & verbal).
7. Must have a “Hunter” attitude toward bringing in new businesses while “Farming” the existing ones.
8. Should be comfortable making cold calls .
Desirable Requirements:
1. MBA degree will be an added advantage
2. Good analytical skills
