About Us:
Metta Home for the Disabled and Metta Home Day Activity Centre were established in December 2000 to provide community care for adults aged 18 to 55 with intellectual disabilities. The Home offers residential care for 103 individuals, funded by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth, and Sports (MCYS). The Day Activity Centre provides day care services for up to 50 beneficiaries, supported by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and the Tote Board Social Service Fund. Our goal is to empower individuals to lead fulfilling, independent lives through holistic care, in collaboration with their caregivers, provided by our multi-disciplinary team.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Driver cum General Assistant, your key responsibilities include:
- Transport Services:Safely transporting clients to and from daily activities and medical appointments.
- Client Assistance:Supporting clients during outings and medical visits.
- Vehicle Maintenance:Performing regular cleaning and maintenance of vehicles, including inspections and road tax renewals.
- Donation Collection:Collecting donation boxes or in-kind donations as assigned.
- Cleaning & Maintenance Support:Assisting with hi-jet cleaning and supporting general maintenance, including landscaping tasks.
- Event Support:Assisting during both internal and external events organized by the center.
- Other Duties:Performing additional tasks as assigned by the management.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of related experience, with prior experience in a disability care setting being advantageous.
- Basic understanding of English.
- Valid Class 3/PA driving license with a clean driving record.
- Hardworking, meticulous, and responsible.
