About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Project Manager (APM) or Deputy Project Manager (DPM) to assist with the execution of our SAP upgrade project. This position will play a critical role in coordinating between stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring the project progresses smoothly with a team of augmented resources from Singapore and offshore (Indonesia and/or India).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing the successful execution of the SAP upgrade from SAP S/4HANA and BW/4 (BPC) Upgrade Project , including the upgrade of Fiori and other relevant components.
- Work closely with offshore augmented teams (Indonesia and/or India) to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate communication between the internal SAP teams, offshore resources, and key stakeholders including the CIO, CTO, and SMEs.
- Assist in conducting gap analysis and project planning to ensure all project aspects are identified and accounted for.
- Manage and track project tasks, timelines, risks, and issues, escalating as necessary to the Project Manager or leadership.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings and prepare progress reports.
- Provide assistance in budget management, ensuring that project financials are tracked and reported accurately.
- Help maintain documentation and ensure adherence to company project governance processes.
Key Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in project management or in a related role, preferably within SAP or IT system upgrade projects.
- Demonstrated experience working with offshore or augmented teams, especially in Indonesia or India.
- Basic understanding of SAP S/4HANA and related SAP modules.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, etc.).
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with SAP Fiori upgrades and integration with third-party systems.
- Familiarity with project management in multinational or cross-cultural teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders.
