Mandatory Skills Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The selected candidate is responsible for management of the Core Banking projects portfolio (roadmap tracking, internal and external dependencies etc) and standardization of project management practices across the platform, in line with the principles.

Key Accountabilities

1. Roadmap of core banking initiatives being up-to date, aligned to project-level planning, budgeting, plans of other units

2. Monitoring of portfolio progress across schedule, cost, quality and benefit realization

3. Standardization of project management practices, in line with DBS guidelines

4. Toolset (systems, templates, training…) for delivery leads within Core Banking

Responsibilities

• Facilitate meetings and ceremonies to develop plans and prioritization at the platform and program level

• Provide support to other Programme Directors and Project Managers, Scrum Masters where required

• Coordinate project teams, ensuring effective timing and interdependency management

• Consolidate and update Programme plan, roadmap, schedule, issues, risks

• Consolidate initiative level progress indicators are aggregated and visualised on the PMO Dashboards

• Aggregate risks for the PMO Dashboard and ensure the right usage of risk tracking is adopted

• Keep track of dependencies across initiatives and initiate the discussions within the platform

• Provide a centre of expertise for initiative process, standards and toolsCreate and operate the information asset storage to keep reference materials up to date

• Track programme and project metrics to monitor and control performance

• Maintain the reporting calendar with reminders to inform contributors

• Produce and promote tools, templates, guidelines etc. to drive standardization of necessary project management practices and ensure compliance with DBS policies

Requirements

• A degree, preferably in engineering or IT

• Proven working experience in PMO

• Possess past software delivery experience as a PM or Scrum Master, with good understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management

• Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful initiatives outcomes

• Process oriented, with good documentation and strong collaboration skills

• Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills

• Support team members to meet overall team objectives and not just as an individual

• Able to quickly build rapport with stakeholders, seniors, peers, juniors and vendors

• Learn quickly, be adaptable, flexible and be able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing context of a growing organization

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint essential)

• Proven, hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence ecosystem as administrator or power use

• Bonus point: Experience with data analysis. Ability to build automation scripts around project management data analysis.
