SHEIN is seeking a mid-level Global Government and Public Relations Senior Counsel who will be responsible for supporting the Company’s government affairs and public relations matters globally (but excluding the United States and Mainland China). This will include investigating and responding to regulatory or media inquiries, supporting and coordinating with regional regulatory counsels on stakeholder management, managing investigations with outside counsel in connection with various regulatory or media inquiries and supporting on related digital transformation projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating with internal teams and outside counsel on advice or investigations relating to a variety of regulatory queries or related matters.
- Partnering as legal adviser to key internal stakeholders within the Company’s global government relations team on legal, regulatory or geo-political matters, including managing tools and engagements, and reviewing policies and engagement or response plans.
- Partnering as legal adviser to key internal stakeholders within the Company’s public relations teams to flag and mitigate legal and reputational risks, including review of press statements or media engagement plans.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders with respect to the Companies’ public policies and commitments.
- Working and coordinating with the legal operations team on global digital transformation projects.
- Performing other duties as assigned or required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experienced lawyer with 6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience, and minimum of 3 years of litigation/investigations experience in private or public legal service.
- Knowledge of media laws, and experience in multi-agency cross-border investigations.
- Media or public sector experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be qualified to practice law in at least one jurisdiction, and those with multiple qualifications is preferred.

- Exceptional legal drafting, investigations, advocacy and analytical skills.
