The jobholder is responsible to provide day-to-day operational support for the accurate, timely and efficient settlement of all Derivatives transactions. Jobholder will also work closely with internal stakeholders (Trading Desks, Finance, Legal & Compliance team) and external stakeholders (brokerage firms) to ensure that we are working in a regulated environment to deliver excellence service.
Responsibilities
- Trade capture & reconciliation of paper trades (Futures, Swaps, and Options), ensure daily data integrity, validate positions, and reconcile data inconsistencies with responsible traders/clearing brokers/execution brokers
- Develop and maintain forward curves and support validation of applicable prices
- Ensure the rationale report/hedge plan, position matching (physical vs paper) are met to the company’s and hedge accounting’s requirements
- Ensure exchange (ICE, CME) and regulatory compliance in adherence to USG policy
- Daily preparation of margin call, exchange limits monitoring, OTC swap settlement, brokerage commission including but not limited to payment
- Maintain general knowledge, expertise and awareness in the energy trading risk management area
- Drive efficiency in the process & system enhancement and identify control gaps
- Responsible for derivative month end closing report and monthly control packs for Management
- Any other ad-hoc duties
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Statistics is an advantage
- Strong analytical and coding skills, and knowledge of financial instruments
- Ability to perform under tight deadlines in a very fast-paced trading environment
- Ability to multitask with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships
