Responsibilities
- Responsible for a range of automotive parts such as brake pads & rotors, filters, steering systems, mountings & bushings.
- Lead and conduct feasibility assessment studies.
- Lead design reviews.
- Make product recommendations in line with required upgrades due to EOL technologies and/ or business requirements.
- Verify specifications and technical drawings pre-production.
- Work with the Sales and Purchase teams to determine external customers’ product requirements.
- Evaluate existing parts/materials for improvements to optimize business opportunities.
- Document the controlled revision of the products throughout its lifecycle.
- Understand safety agency specifications and environmental restrictions and design within these guidelines to meet customers' requirements.
- Continuously build product and technical knowledge and experience across the business.
- Any related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Professional qualifications, Diploma/ Degree in relevant fields or equivalent.
- Min 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the automotive industry
- In-depth understanding of automotive and industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Experienced in making and reading technical drawings.
