Scope of Work
1) Finance Operations & Control
- Support the finance team on day-to-day financial reporting activities in an effective and timely manner.
- Assist with the preparation of business unit / division budgets and forecasts
- Assist with the reconciliation of staff & travel expenses claims, ensuring adherence of expense policies & compliance
- Assist with monitoring of AR & AP ageing
- Handle statutory financial reporting including audit and local legislative requirements on a timely and accurate basis
- Assist with the preparation of Quarterly GST filing
- Assist with the preparation of Yearly Tax Filing
- Assist to ensure financial controls are sufficient, in place and maintained in line with company Policies and Procedures
- Assist to update and streamline the company policy, procedures & processes periodically
- Ad hoc administrative work as and when required
In this role, you can expect frequent interaction with various departments & business stakeholders, apart from just the finance team. You will need to be comfortable communicating & learning from others but at the same time, also share your own knowledge, ideas & options.
Requirements:
- Experience in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Able to commit for at least 6 months
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Hands-on-experience with accounting software is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, conscientious, adaptable and resourceful
- Proactive problem solver with a demonstrated willingness to take responsibility for getting things done
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to be collaborative across projects & departments
- Proficiency in English (Oral and written)
