Job Summary:
The Delivery Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and stability across all stages. This role will require you to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the delivery process and continuously improve operations while ensuring the highest levels of system availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the deployment, delivery, and ongoing operation of IT systems and applications, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems or upgrades into the production environment.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure uptime, scalability, and efficient resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during system delivery or post-deployment operations, ensuring quick resolution to minimize impact on clients and internal users.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve the efficiency and reliability of system delivery and operations.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align delivery plans with business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and company standards during the delivery process.
- Provide input on system architecture, scalability, and reliability improvements.
- Continuously evaluate new tools, processes, and technologies to improve the delivery and operational efficiency of the team.
- Maintain accurate documentation for delivery procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT operations, systems delivery, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of system deployment and delivery pipelines, CI/CD processes, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Solid knowledge of networking, infrastructure management, and system monitoring.
- Proven experience troubleshooting system delivery and operational issues in real-time.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in IT service management frameworks (ITIL, etc.).
- Experience with continuous delivery and integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
- Knowledge of security best practices for IT system deployment and operations.
- Experience with large-scale system deployments in production environments.
