Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Information Technology Recruitment team leader with extensive knowledge of the Australian technology market to join our dynamic team. This role requires expertise in sourcing and evaluating candidates for specialized IT positions, ensuring we attract top talent to drive our projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to define technical job requirements and create comprehensive job descriptions for roles including data scientists, systems administrators, and cybersecurity professionals.
- Screen resumes for technical skills and relevant experience in areas like programming languages, cloud computing, AI/ML and database management. (Java, Python, R, Data Analytics, AWS, Azure, GCP, .NET core, Cybersecurity)
- Conduct initial technical assessments and phone interviews to evaluate candidates' proficiency in relevant technologies, methodologies and problem-solving abilities.
- Manage & mentor the team of recruiters, track and report on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire and candidate pipeline status, using applicant tracking systems (ATS) like Tallite, Greenhouse or Lever.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT recruitment to continuously improve sourcing and evaluation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience as an IT recruitment team leader, within a tech-focused organization. IT recruitment experience in the Australian market is preferred.
- Deep knowledge and experience of various IT roles and technologies, including software development, cloud services, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure.
- Proficiency in using ATS and recruitment tools (e.g., Tallite, LinkedIn Recruiter, Hired, Stack Overflow Talent).
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate candidates' technical capabilities and alignment with job specifications.
