Job Overview:
We are an Interior, electrical and scrap dealing company specializing in Electrical rewiring projects, particularly HDB rewiring. We are currently seeking a skilled and responsible individual to fill the role of Driver cum Worker. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Class 3 driving license and have a strong knowledge of Electrical rewiring procedures, including pulling out cables, trunking, and conducts. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for handling rewiring scraps like wires, cables, trunking, and conducts, loading them into the lorry, and extracting copper from cables.
Responsibilities:
Driving:
Safely operate the company's lorry to transport materials and equipment to various locations.
Comply with all traffic and safety regulations while driving.
Electrical Rewiring:
Demonstrate expertise in Electrical rewiring, with a focus on HDB rewiring projects.
Knowledge of pulling out cables, trunking, and conducting while ensuring the integrity of the existing infrastructure.
Ability to identify different types of cables and electrical components.
Scrap Handling:
Efficiently handle and sort rewiring scraps such as wires, cables, trunking, and conducts at project sites.
Ensure proper segregation and storage of different types of scraps.
Loading and Unloading:
Organize and load rewiring scraps onto the lorry securely and safely.
Unload materials at the designated scrapyard or recycling facility.
Copper Extraction:
Knowledge of extracting copper from cables, ensuring maximum recovery while maintaining safety protocols.
Handle copper extraction tools and equipment with care.
Maintenance and Safety:
Regularly inspect the company's lorry for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures during work, especially when handling electrical components.
Requirements:
Valid Class 3 driving license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in Electrical rewiring, particularly in HDB rewiring projects.
Familiarity with pulling out cables, trunking, and conducting without causing damage to existing structures.
Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Knowledge of scrap handling and recycling processes, especially copper extraction from cables.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have Prior experience in a similar role or in the metal scrap industry
Basic knowledge of electrical principles and wiring techniques.
