Job Descriptions
1. Event Planning and Coordination:
- Work with the events team to collaborate with clients to understand their event needs and preferences.
- Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics.
- Coordinate with vendors, including catering, entertainment, and rental services.
- Ensure all events run smoothly and meet the clients’ expectations.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events.
2. Bar Management:
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement innovative drink menus and special promotions.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling costs.
- Train, supervise, and schedule bar staff to provide excellent customer service.
- Address customer complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
3. Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train event and bar staff.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
- Ensure staff adherence to company policies and procedures.
4. Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets for events and bar operations.
- Monitor financial performance, including revenue and expenses.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management review.
5. Marketing and Promotion:
- Ensure that marketing is consistent, through working with PR companies and other leads. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and bar offerings.
- Utilise social media and other channels to reach potential clients and guests.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written as well as preparing service reports.
- Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behavior.
- Short term working at overseas maybe required.
Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in event management and bar operations, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in event management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of alcohol laws and regulations.
# Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 30 pounds).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the venue.
