The Sensory Science and Oral Processing Research Platform at SIFBI seeks to appoint a postdoctoral research scientist to work on the mechanisms of oral-nasal mass transfer and instrumental simulation of the process.
Main responsibilities:
- To conduct independent lab-based research on instrumental design and construction
- To design experimental devices and set ups needed for the project
- To initiate and lead collaborations with researchers within and outside the institute
- To supervise junior researchers on project-based works
- To effectively disseminate research findings either via conference presentations or writing up research publications
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree in physics, material science, mechanical engineering, or other relevant disciplines of physical science and engineering
- Previous experience in instrument design greatly beneficial
- Knowledge and research experience in food sensory, food flavour, food physics are ideal, but not essential
- An excellent track record of research publications
- The candidate should also have excellent communication skills and is expected to establish collaborations with researchers from other scientific disciplines.
