Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled O&M tasks and ad-hoc maintenance within deadlines, ensuring top-quality standards.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, completing and submitting checklists promptly to the supervisor.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, ensuring timely submission of records.
- Handle corrective maintenance for equipment breakdowns and submit relevant documents.
- Report equipment issues to the supervisor and assist in implementing fixes.
- Support operational activities as required.
- Perform initial troubleshooting, reporting findings, and assist with advanced troubleshooting.
- Supervise contractors to ensure work meets standards.
- Report any anomalies or potential damages immediately.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following EHS procedures.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of parts and supplies.
- Undertake other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Conduct system condition assessments.
- Estimate labour for complex mechanical installations.
- Develop expertise in assigned equipment.
- Demonstrate leadership and client management skills.
- Proactive, independent, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a positive mindset in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Diploma in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in facilities engineering or similar.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, vehicle barrier system and emergency response system.
- Understanding of building regulations and health & safety.
- Strong communication skills, able to work well with non-engineering colleagues.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot on the spot.
