Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and documenting test cases based on business requirements and system functionalities. The QA Tester will work closely with the development team, business users, and product owners to ensure that all software applications meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Case Development:Create clear and targeted test cases based on business requirements, current system functionality, and functional specifications.
    Define comprehensive test scenarios and variations in data for effective end-to-end testing.
  • Testing Execution:Conduct thorough testing of multiple functionalities and document results by capturing detailed end-to-end testing steps during execution.
    Submit defects and issues to development teams for correction, and perform retests once errors are resolved, following established procedures.
  • Defect Tracking:Track defects and conduct causal analysis until closure, ensuring all issues are resolved.
    Maintain regular updates on testing progress and defect status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaboration:Collaborate closely with the development team and business users throughout the project lifecycle to ensure requirements are met.
    Work with vendors, product owners, and end users within the organization to facilitate testing activities.
  • Process Improvement:Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize and reduce redundancies in testing efforts.
    Minimize complexity and create efficiencies without compromising testing effectiveness.
  • Adherence to Deadlines:Ensure that testing activities are completed on schedule, adhering to project timelines.
  • Support Role:Assist the Test Manager in overseeing SG Finance testing activities and contribute to team goals.

Requirements:

  • Education:A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:1-3 years of experience in software Quality Assurance, preferably within the banking domain.
  • Technical Skills:Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
    Familiarity with software testing development and testing methodologies, especially Agile.
    Experience using JIRA and SQL is considered favorable.
    Knowledge of test automation practices is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes:Proactive, independent, and resourceful with the ability to work effectively within a team.
    Comfortable working under tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
