Data Protection Compliance Manager

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Data Protection Compliance Manager to help ensure our Group’s compliance with data protection laws.

Reporting to the DPO, the Data Protection Compliance Manager will monitor compliance and data practices internally to ensure that the Group and its functions adhere to applicable data protection requirements under the GDPR and other relevant national legislations, including CCPA and CPRA.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the DPO in ensuring the organization's compliance with data protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, at the group level.
  • Work with key internal stakeholders to review operations and projects, as well as related data processing, to ensure compliance with data privacy laws. Advise on and monitor data protection privacy impact assessments and assist with internal audits where necessary.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of data protection policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Organize and conduct data protection awareness and training programs for employees to ensure they understand their responsibilities concerning data privacy.
  • Assist in preparing Data Privacy Impact Assessments and Legitimate Interest Assessments to evaluate and mitigate privacy risks.
  • Support the handling of data subject requests, including access requests, deletion requests, and consent management.
  • Collaborate in managing data breach incidents, including investigation, reporting, and mitigation, in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Assist in evaluating and monitoring third-party vendors and service providers, including reviewing contractual agreements, for compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Contribute to maintaining an inventory of data processing activities and data flow mapping within the organization.
  • Provide administrative support to the Data Protection Officer as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in data protection laws.
  • A relevant certification (CIPP, CIPM, EXIN) would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in conducting data protection audits.
  • Good understanding of compliance and risk assessment issues.
  • Good understanding of data privacy laws.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, and across multiple time zones.
