About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales/Sales Manager to drive sales strategy for a leading consumer electronics brand. This role focuses on building relationships with distributors and direct mass merchant accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily sales operations for brick-and-mortar channels, including mass merchandisers, independent dealers, and wholesalers.
- Takes on a leadership role to guide the distribution team in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), such as dealer sell-through, market inventory management, channel profitability, stock aging, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Manages the distribution budget effectively to maximize ROI and meet objectives.
- Conducts in-depth analysis of business performance by channel and product to optimize profitability.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting key distributors (e.g., Best Denki, Courts, Harvey, Audio House) and mass merchant accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dealers while identifying and onboarding new distribution partners.
- Lead and mentor a sales team, setting clear goals and performance metrics to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct regular meetings with dealers to assess performance, gather feedback, and identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and budgets to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales leadership within the consumer electronics sector.
- Strong network of relationships with distributors and mass merchant accounts.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on market insights.
- Experience in managing and motivating a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
