RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Philanthropic Initiatives will lead the company's philanthropic strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives while driving meaningful social impact. The role involves managing key philanthropic programs, developing partnerships, and ensuring that the company's initiatives contribute positively to the community.
The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership and external partners to develop, implement, and measure programs that reflect the company's commitment to social responsibility and long-term sustainability.
1. Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute the company's philanthropic strategy, ensuring alignment with the business's core values and long-term goals.
• Identify key areas for social investment, focusing on initiatives that align with the company's vision of impact.
• Monitor industry and social trends to keep the company's philanthropic efforts innovative and relevant.
2. Operational and Financial Oversight
• Oversee the operational management of all philanthropic programs, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with company objectives.
• Manage the financial aspects of philanthropic initiatives, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external requirements for philanthropic spending and reporting.
3. Program Development & Impact Measurement
• Design, launch, and manage a portfolio of high-impact programs in areas such as education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and community development.
• Develop frameworks for measuring the success and impact of the company's philanthropic activities.
• Regularly review and adjust programs based on data analysis, feedback, and social impact reports.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Building
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including non-profits, government agencies, and corporate entities, to drive collaborative philanthropic efforts.
• Represent the company at relevant industry forums, conferences, and events to enhance the visibility and credibility of its philanthropic initiatives.
• Work closely with internal teams, including communications, CSR, and finance, to ensure integration of philanthropic goals across the company.
5. Governance and Compliance
• Ensure all philanthropic activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
• Report regularly to senior leadership on the progress, challenges, and outcomes of philanthropic initiatives.
• Develop and enforce risk management policies to protect the company's philanthropic interests.
QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Policy, or related disciplines). Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 5-10 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in business, philanthropy or social impact.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience working with boards, donors, and governmental bodies.
• Demonstrated understanding of the philanthropic and non-profit landscape in Asia, particularly Singapore.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to ethical leadership and social responsibility.
